How to Mark Single Unit BUA as a Dwelling Unit

Steps

Search and Select Unit Built-Up Area:
- Navigate to Guided Marking => Unit Built-Up Area.
- Unit BUA form appears on the right side of the window.

Fill Details in Form:
- Enter the name of the Unit BUA
- Tick the checkbox if you want to consider this Unit BUA as a Dwelling Unit.
Drawing Conventions
- Unit BUA should be drawn to represent a collection of rooms.
- Unit BUA should be drawn including the outer walls.
- A single Unit BUA can be defined as a dwelling unit, or multiple Unit BUA polylines can be grouped together as a single dwelling unit.

Search and Select Mark Dwelling Units
- Navigate to Guided Marking => Mark Dwelling Units.
- Dwelling Units form appears on the right side of the window.

Select Unit BUA's to form a Dwelling Unit:
- Enter the required name for the dwelling unit.
- Click on the Add button.
- Select the Unit BUA polylines across the floor plans or within the same floor plan to group together as a single dwelling unit.
- After selecting the required Unit BUA polylines, press Enter to create the dwelling unit.
- A new Dwelling unit is created and appears in the list of Dwelling Units.
- You can delete the created Dwelling Units by clicking on the Delete icon against a single dwelling unit entry.
Use cases
- Use cases to define dwelling units:
- In case of Duplex and Triplex flats that are across multiple floors within a building.
- In the case of Villas where all the Unit BUA's across the different floors form a single Dwelling Unit.
- In case of flats which have separate servant quarters in the same floor plan.
Drawing Conventions
- Follow the Guided Marking instructions to define a dwelling unit.
- Dwelling units are created as open polylines connecting the different
__BN_UnitBUA
polylines within the__BN_BuildingPlan
. - Dwelling units should be defined for the
__BN_UnitBUA
polylines within a single__BN_BuildingPlan
.

- Make sure that the Unit BUA entities grouped together actually form a single dwelling unit.
